This 6 berth Hartley was originally launched around 1979 and then rebuilt in 2006 when purchased by a boat builder as his own boat. Although already very solidly constructed in ply glassed over, he made major improvements including a cockpit accessed head / shower, cockpit basin and wash area and a generous boarding platform with walk through transom.
The 6.4L turbo Hino of approx 200hp has done 700hrs and mechanical upgrades included a reconditioned turbo, new gearbox and new drive plate.
Cruise 8-10 knots, max 12. Approx 5 lph at 5 knots, 15 lph at cruise.
There are numerous options fitted as listed above and shown in the pictures, and she has served well as a live aboard and Cook Strait cruiser for over 12 years with 8 recent Cook Strait crossings.
I sold Sapphire to her current owners and she would benefit from some minor cosmetic and interior finishing/modernisation, but offers an excellent platform to improve on or enjoy as it is.
